Troubleshooting Authentication Issues
Authentication issues usually occur when you try to log in or connect your account to Critical Ops, resulting in an error code such as 1001, 1002, or something similar. These errors can happen when there's a problem with your login credentials or connection to your account (Google, Facebook, or Game Center). In most cases, resolving the issue involves updating your apps, clearing your cache, or adjusting your server settings.
General Steps (Android & iOS)
Before diving into platform-specific fixes, make sure of the following:
- Your operating system is updated to the latest version.
- You are on a stable internet connection
- You are using the latest version of Critical Ops
Android – Google Login Issues
Step 1: Update Required Apps
Ensure that both of these apps are updated from the Google Play Store:
- Google Play Services
- Google Play Games
If the issue continues, try one of the following workarounds:
Workaround 1 (Manual Server Selection)
- Clear app cache and data for Critical Ops
- Launch the game and start as a new guest account
- Do not link your account yet
- Go to
Play → Custom Games → Filters → Server
- Manually choose a server (avoid "automatic")
- Then, link your existing account
Workaround 2 (Disconnect your Google Account)
- Close the game
- Open your device's Settings → Google → Connected Apps
- Find Critical Ops and tap Disconnect
- Clear app cache and data for Critical Ops
- Launch the game, complete the tutorial
- Log in via your Google account
Facebook Login Issues
Before trying these, make sure you know your Facebook login credentials.
Workaround 1 (Facebook App Reset)
- Open the Facebook app
- Go to
Account Settings → Apps → Logged in with Facebook
- Find Critical Ops and tap Remove App
- Launch Critical Ops and log in again
If the above doesn’t help:
- Android: Go to device settings → Apps → Critical Ops → Clear cache and data
- iOS: Uninstall and reinstall Critical Ops
iOS – Game Center Login Issues
Fix Login Loop
- Sign out of the Apple ID linked to Game Center
- Restart the Critical Ops app
- If needed, sign out and restart your device
Then follow these steps:
- Uninstall and reinstall the app
- Open the game and start as a new guest
- Do not link to Game Center or Facebook yet
- Go to
Play → Custom Games → Filters → Server
- Select any server manually
- Once in-game, link your account with Game Center or Facebook
Other Tips
If none of the workarounds resolve the issue, try toggling Airplane Mode on and off. This has resolved the problem for some players.
