Critical Pass was the player progression system in Critical Ops that rewarded players with exclusive in-game content. This system has been replaced by the Vault system.

Why Critical Pass Was Removed

  • We want to improve the quality of earned and bought content.
  • While the value of a Critical Pass was high for the players, the current format did not support additional development of the feature.
  • Critical Pass and its format have not consistently delivered the content quality expected by players.

How It Previously Worked

By purchasing the Critical Pass, players could access various rewards, such as themed skins, cases, and credits. However, these rewards were not unlocked immediately. Players had to progress through the tiers by earning XP.

To unlock rewards, players needed to earn XP by playing the game. Each time you leveled up through the tiers, you unlocked a new reward. Alternatively, players could choose to purchase rewards directly with credits.

XP was earned by playing and completing matches and doing daily missions or the weekly challenge. Leaving a match before it finished would prevent players from earning XP, and custom games did not give any XP.
