What is the Critical Ops Beta?

The Critical Ops Beta gives you a sneak peek into upcoming features and changes before they're released to the public. It’s a limited-time version of the game where you can help test new content and improvements while providing us with valuable feedback to make the game better. You can see what is new in the BETA by checking our latest patch notes from our website.

Android users can opt into the Beta directly through the Google Play Store by scrolling to the bottom of the Critical Ops app page and selecting the "Join Beta" button (at times when Beta is available) or alternatively join through this link. For iOS users, we select testers through the TestFlight program. To apply, click here.

How to Play in Beta

• Beta Game Modes: The beta version currently only includes Defuse and TDM. Ranked Defuse is disabled in beta.
• Version Compatibility: You cannot play with friends on the LIVE version of Critical Ops if you’re on the Beta version. You’ll need to be in the same version to play together.
• Account Sync: You can use the same account for the Beta and Live versions of Critical Ops.
• Server Availability: There are only a limited number of servers available in beta to encourage testing across different regions. Once the Beta is fully tested, more servers and game modes will be available on the LIVE version.

How to Leave the Beta and Return to the Live Version

If you’re done with the beta and want to return to the live version of Critical Ops, here’s how to do it:

• For Android:
  1. Open Google Play and navigate to the Critical Ops page.
  2. Make sure you’re on the correct Google Play account.
  3. Tap "Leave beta testing."
  4. Uninstall the game.
  5. Wait 10-15 minutes, then reinstall the game from the Play Store.
• For iOS:
  1. Simply install the official version of Critical Ops from the Apple App Store. The Live version will automatically overwrite the Beta, no need to uninstall.
